If
you read my earlier review on Star Trek Voyager
Elite Force, you know the game rocked. Raven Soft
was one of the first companies to take a First
Person Shooter and add a story to it, making the
game fun! *ducks rocks thrown by Quake 3 fans* I
played the game all the way through finally
winning it a few weeks after I got it. What next?
Very few neat games are released until November!
Well Luckee told me he had a copy
of the Star Trek Voyager Elite Force Expansion
Pack, and after a bit of hit and miss trying to
meet with him, I finally got my hands on the Expansion
Pack. I took it home, and with tender loving care,
placed the CD in the tray of my CD-ROM. The
install was flawless, and in a few minutes I
loaded the game up and was playing.
Obviously the expansion pack requires you own the
original game. Since I did, that wasn’t a problem.
So what exactly is the expansion pack? Well...
it’s an expansion pack! No seriously, the
expansion pack brings to the Elite Force Universe
the following:
Virtual Voyager
For those hard core Star Trek fans, who complained
endlessly on the PCShooter Elite Force message
board about not being able to take a tour of the
Voyager, Raven has added a section called virtual
Voyager, which allows players to wander the decks
and halls of the Voyager. Virtual Voyager also
lets you interact with the crew of the ship and
it’s many environments. Seven of Nine, need I say
more?

Multi-player Maps and Games
The Expansion Pack also features 22 new
multi-player maps. I was very impressed by the
quality of the maps. I was a bit hesitant after I
had bought the Rogue Spear Expansion Pack last
year and seen the six dinky levels that looked
like they were designed by a third grade class.
Raven, true to form put some incredible maps in
their holo-match missions. The maps were
beautifully designed, and down right awe inspiring
in a few. Also some are rather large. Frankly, with
22 new maps I still haven’t played them all.
With all the new levels Raven also added several
new types of multi-player games including, Action
Hero, Assimilation, and Last Man Standing. Raven
also added several new player models and skins for
multi-player mode.

Included with the expansion pack are new single
player missions. These missions were carried off
with the same level of quality and flare we have
come to expect from Raven.
All in all I’m not a big expansion pack fan, but
this Expansion Pack is well worth the money,
especially if you are a Trekkie.
